«پست مدرن»
«پست مدرن‌ها» یا به عبارتی دیگر، «معترضان یا شکاکان جدید» که در پایان قرون وسطی، مونتنی سرکرده آنان بود، اینک هم در پایان قرن نوزدهم، فریدریش «نیچه» (1900 – 1844) آلمانی، شکاکیت جدیدی را شروع کرد و همه «اصول تمدن و علم و عقلانیت و اخلاق» را به گمان خودش، زیر سؤال برد.
حتی نیچه، در نقد آنان که «شناخت و علم» را منحصر به «علم حسی» می‌دانند یعنی پوزیتیویست‌ها می‌نویسد:
در عمل تمام این نظامهای «پوزیتیویسمی» را بخاری از بدبینی‌های تاریک، خستگی‌ها، جبرگرایی‌ها، ناکامی‌ها و ترس از ناکامی‌های جدید، فرا گرفته است.
به عبارت دیگر، این‌چنین نظامی، عرصه‌ای است گسترده از کینه‌ها، بدخلقی‌ها و خشم به نمایش درآمده، هرج و مرج اعتراض‌ها و تمام آنچه که می‌تواند علایم و نشانه‌ها یا انقلاب‌هایی بر احساس ضعف باشد.
